Deutsche Bahn Promo: Free Nationwide Travel Following Every German Olympic Gold Medal

Free travel with Deutsche Bahn: The new Probe BahnCard Gold offers free long-distance trips the day after a German gold medal win at the Milano Cortina Winter Games

Deutsche Bahn is introducing a unique promotional offer to celebrate the Milano Cortina Winter Games, linking passenger benefits directly to the success of the German national team. Starting from January 16 until February 5, the new "Probe BahnCard Gold" allows holders to travel for free across Germany on all long-distance trains on the day following any German gold medal win. During these "Gold Days," the card itself serves as a valid ticket for national travel, while also providing standard discounts of 25% or 50% on Super Spar, Spar, and Flex fares during its three-month validity period, reports NewsToday24 with reference to deutschebahn.

The promotional cards are available in several tiers, with the Probe BahnCard 25 Gold starting at 19.90 euros for 2nd class and the Probe BahnCard 50 Gold priced at 76.90 euros. These trial cards automatically transition into a regular subscription unless canceled. To promote the launch, Deutsche Bahn has released a television commercial featuring a star-studded lineup of winter sports legends, including Sven Hannawald, Kati Wilhelm, Markus Wasmeier, and André Lange. These iconic athletes, who collectively hold 27 Olympic gold medals, appear in the spot to highlight the connection between athletic excellence and the exclusive travel rewards offered through bahn.de, the DB Navigator app, or DB travel centers.
